My Happy Fourth of July Sugar Cookies

Don't mind the messy flag, too much frosting means it slides off of the cookie! Always lay flat after frosting, un-like what I did!

Fourth of July Project

Sparkle Stars
So All I basically did was paint some cheap stars I bought at Michaels and then dumped some Martha Stewart glitter on top of them.

Happy Fourth of July!

Beebsters little Fourth of July outfit :) She is so cute, although I'm not so sure she really was born in the USA. I love my little girl!

Here is a little centerpiece that was put together from stuff around the house.

My new dish set that I bought at the cutest little store by my house. They were not expensive just $2 each, which is how much they charge for the plastic plates at target. I just couldn't resist the mason jar glasses and salt and pepper shakers.

Night-Stands; stripped and primered

First I want to show you my beautiful finally finished dresser!! It's painted a Martha Stewart Grey.

Here is what my nightstands looked like before. Not very pretty, but I thought they had potential and the price was right... and by that I mean cheap of course! They were a hideous blue color that was flaking off all over and as I soon learned that was painted over white and gold- which was difficult to remove.

I used Klean Strip Paint stripper and this awesome paint scrapped that picked up the paint goo- typically you will get paint flakes, but since there were at least three layers of paint I got a gooey substance- it took two coats of stripper and a lot of after wash to get these clean. It probably took four hours each with me and my mom working to get these clean. We even had to use steelwool and after wash to really get it clean.

Here is a before and after of the drawers.

After hours of hard work they are finally cleaned up! They are actually really nice pieces, a nice sturdy piece of wood which means its heavy but well made. They are from Davis Cabinet Company in Nashville Tennessee.

They are finally primered and ready to paint- sorry no primer pictures :( They should be painted by the end the weekend.

XOXO,
Annie
